How to Make Kimchi Fried Rice
- 1 cup kimchi
- 4-5 Chinese sausages
- 3 cups lettuce
- 2 cups chilled white rice. If it is freshly cooked, leave it out for 5 to 10 mins at room temperature to cool down before cooking.
- 2 eggs, cooked sunny side up
- 1 tbsp minced ginger
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 2 tbsp cooking oil
- Sliced seaweed to garnish
- (optional) 1/2 stalk green onion, thinly sliced
Boil the water in the wok for the sausages. Cook the sausages for about 5 minutes. Once done, cut them into small circles and set aside.
In a wok or large skillet, put cooking oil on medium high heat. Once the oil is hot, add the ginger and cook for about 1 minute or lightly brown.
Add the sausages in. Cook until it starts to almost crisp. Now add the kimchi.
Then add the lettuce and cook until done. Now add the rice and sesame oil. Then turn off heat when the sauce and rice is mixed together and set aside.
Cook the eggs sunny side up or however you like.
Assemble by putting the egg and then seaweed on top.
Serve hot immediately.
You can add soy sauce, salt, or chicken bouillon if not enough flavor.
