Fried Chicken Recipe
- 10-12 chicken thighs with skin and bones
- Vegetable oil
- 3 cups all purpose flour
- 2.5 tbsp salt
- 2 tbsp ground black pepper
- 1 tbsp of garlic powder
- 1.5 tsp cayenne
- 1.5 cup buttermilk
In a large bowl, combine the flour, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and cayenne pepper until thoroughly mixed. Set aside.
Preheat your oil to 325 degrees F.
Pour the buttermilk in a separate bowl.
Pat the chicken dry. Dip the chicken in the buttermilk and then the dry mixture.
Then place the chicken into the oil and cook for about 15 minutes or until crispy golden brown.
Remove the chicken from the oil and drain for about 5 minutes. Let it rest for another 5 minutes. Serve and enjoy!
